How to use the Alva labs and Pinpoint integration

Part 1: Send an Alva Labs assessment

Step 1

Open the candidate’s profile. From the action menu (three dots), select Send Alva Labs assessment.

Step 2

Choose a test profile for the role, then pick the assessment types: Personality Test, Logic Test, or both. Candidate details are auto-filled.

Note: If anonymous hiring is enabled, first and last names will not be displayed, but they will be sent to Alva Labs.

Step 3

Click Send invite to send the assessment email.

Note: If a candidate has already completed the tests, results will be reused. They’re valid for two years. Alva Labs recalculates scores based on the chosen assessment profile, and Pinpoint automatically pulls them in.

Step 4

Check the Assessments section to confirm the status (e.g., Sent). If results already exist, they’ll appear in Pinpoint and link to the candidate’s profile.

Step 5

Track the status. Once completed, Pinpoint updates automatically and sends you a notification email.

Step 6

When the status is Completed, click the assessment name in Pinpoint. Then click Report URL to view detailed results directly in Alva Labs.

Part 2: Add a stage action to your job

Step 1

Click Edit stages.

Step 2

Next to the stage where you want to add the action, click the edit icon.

Step 3

Click Add stage action.

Step 4

Select Send Alva Labs assessment.

Step 5

Fill in the form to configure the action.

Step 6

Click Submit to save your changes.

Step 7

Move a candidate into that stage.

Step 8

Click Yes to confirm. This triggers the assessment automatically.

Limitations

At this stage, Pinpoint doesn’t support Alva coding tests or interviews.
