Sharing previously completed tests
If you have already taken Alva’s tests for a different company, you can share those results when applying to a new one.
Log in to your Alva account.
Click Accept invitation in the new test invite.
Click Go to application → View and share previous results.
Choose which test(s) to share (Logic, Personality, or both).
Click Share test to confirm.
If you only want to redo one test, you can share the other and start a new test for the one you’d like to update. The tests you can share are always your most recently completed tests - it’s not possible to choose between older results.
Your test results are automatically submitted to the organization as soon as the requested tests have been completed; you don’t need to do anything to share or submit them.
💡 Note: The company only sees your results - they don’t see that you chose to share them.
When sharing is possible
You can share results if:
The tests were completed within 24 months, and
You are using the same email address you used when you first took the tests, and
You have not already shared results with this company before.
When results are shared automatically
If you already shared results with a company before, and you apply there again:
Your existing results will automatically be shared again (as long as they are less than 24 months old).
You cannot choose to retake the tests for that company yourself.
If you want to complete new tests before the 24-month period has passed, you’ll need to contact the company directly and ask them to allow a retake/reset. Alva Support cannot reset tests.
When you must take new tests
You’ll need to complete new tests if:
Your previous results are older than 24 months, or
You received the new invite to a different email address, or
You declined Alva’s privacy policy and haven’t accepted it yet.
To fix:
Privacy policy: Log in → Jobs → Accept and show jobs.
Different email: Ask the company to resend the invitation to the email you used for your earlier tests.
About email addresses and accounts
Each Alva account is linked to one unique email address.
Currently, accounts cannot be merged and results cannot be shared between accounts.
If you have completed tests on one email (e.g. a school address) and received a new invite to a different email:
Ask the company to send a new invite to the email where you already completed your tests.
Once that invite is sent to the correct email, Alva can help update the email on that existing account so you can keep your results under the new address.
💡Note: What matters is that the invitation is sent to the email connected to your test results - that email is your account identifier in Alva.
Retaking tests for a new application
If sharing isn’t possible, or if the company has allowed a retake:
Open your invitation and click Accept invitation.
Click Go to application → Start new test.
Complete and submit the tests.
💡Note: Once you start new tests for this application, you cannot submit old results for it.
