What Is Deep Insights?
Deep Insights builds on the same test results as Alva's standard personality report. It takes those scores and generates a richer, narrative description of how a candidate is likely to behave at work.
The narrative is grouped into three pillars:
Working Mode - how the candidate is likely to make decisions, balance detail and big-picture thinking, and approach pace and drive.
Relationship Mode - how the candidate is likely to communicate, collaborate, and influence the people around them.
Risk Factors - the top behavioural risk patterns based on the candidate's profile, highlighting situations where their natural tendencies may create blind spots or friction.
Each pillar combines a written narrative with the underlying personality dimensions and facets that informed it. You can always verify the narrative against the raw scores - nothing is hidden behind the prose.
π‘Note: Personality is only one piece of the puzzle. The narrative describes natural tendencies - how a person is likely to act when left to their own preferences - not fixed limitations. Many of these patterns can shift with experience, training, and the specific work context. Deep Insights is meant to support hiring teams in forming a richer picture, not to replace structured assessment or interview judgment.
When to Use Deep Insights
Deep Insights is designed for situations where hiring teams want more behavioural depth - typically for high-stakes or senior roles. It adds a richer picture without replacing structured assessment or interview judgment.
Use it to:
Prepare better interview questions based on the candidate's behavioural tendencies
Discuss potential blind spots with the hiring team before making a decision
Support onboarding conversations about working preferences and the kind of support likely to help
π‘Note: Because the narrative reflects natural tendencies rather than fixed traits, it works best as a conversation starter - not a conclusion. A candidate's actual behaviour will also be shaped by their experience, training, and the specific demands of the role. Always combine Deep Insights with structured assessment, interview scorecards, and references.
Where to Find Deep Insights
To access Deep Insights for a candidate:
Click on the candidate in your job pipeline.
Go to the Assessment tab
Scroll to the bottom of the page - you'll find the Deep Insights section there.
The section shows a summary view with the three pillars at a glance. Click See full report to open the full report modal for the deeper narrative on each pillar.
The full report is visible to recruiters by default. When sharing candidate results with the hiring team via a shared link, you can choose whether to include Deep Insights - the same way you manage other parts of the candidate report.
Keep in Mind
Deep Insights is designed to add depth to your hiring process, not to replace it. The narrative highlights how a candidate is likely to behave when left to their own preferences - but people grow, adapt, and respond to context. Use the report to ask better questions, have richer conversations, and make more informed decisions alongside your other assessment data.
