What the Test Measures
Alva’s personality test is built on the Five Factor Model, the most widely recognized framework in modern psychological science. It assesses five broad dimensions of personality:
Openness to Experience – curiosity, creativity, and willingness to embrace change.
Conscientiousness – structure, reliability, and goal orientation.
Extraversion – sociability, energy, and assertiveness.
Agreeableness – empathy, trust, and cooperation.
Emotional Stability – calmness and resilience under pressure.
💡Note: These traits are assessed in a work context, reflecting how individuals typically behave in professional settings.
How the Test Works
You are presented with a set of statements and asked to rate how well each one describes you on a scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree).
The test is adaptive, meaning it adjusts based on your previous responses. Instead of all candidates receiving the same statements, the test selects the next most relevant item to build an accurate personality profile.
Most candidates find that answering with their first instinct gives the most accurate reflection of how they typically behave. Choosing the response that feels most natural usually leads to the most reliable results.
Language Settings
Before starting the test, you can choose the language you want to use.
If you have already started the test but not finished and wish to change the language, you cannot switch it in the interface.
If you need to change the language of a test you’ve already started but not yet finished, reach out to Alva’s support team via the chat in the bottom-left corner. We’ll help you so you can continue in the correct language.
After the Test
Your completed personality profile will be visible to the organization you applied to.
You will also be able to view your own results as soon as you finish the test.
If you want to keep a personal copy, you can download and save your report to your device. For step-by-step instructions, see How to Download Your Personality Test Results.
💡Note: Personality results are not about being “good” or “bad.” They reflect your natural preferences and how they align with the needs of a specific role.
