In Alva's personality test, you are presented with a number of statements and your task is to rate how well each statement describes your personality in a work setting. The rating scale goes from 1 to 5, where 1 is 'strongly disagree' and 5 is 'strongly agree'.

The statements are chosen based on your response pattern, to create a comprehensive and accurate personality profile. As with any personality test, it is important that you respond with honesty and self-awareness. It is often best to pick the option that you first think of when seeing each statement.

There is no time limit for this test and it usually takes about 15 minutes to complete.

There are no "right or wrong" results in a personality test. Your profile will mainly be used for matching your personality to the demands of the role you're applying for and to the profile of your future team. Your profile will be visible to the organization even after being hired, and may be used in team development for example.

Alva’s personality test is based on the Five Factor Model, the most evidence based personality model in modern psychological science. You will get feedback about your personality with regards to the dimensions Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Emotional stability.

The results are presented like this:

The personality test is adaptive, meaning that it's built according to the principles of modern test theory. Put simply, this means that the test adapts according to your responses, instead of giving all candidates the same statements in the same order. You can read more about adaptive testing HERE.
