When to let candidates retake their assessments
Candidates can submit one personality test and one logic test per organization. After 24 months, they automatically get the opportunity to retake their assessments for your organization when they receive an invitation to complete a logic test, personality test or both. You can, however, allow a candidate to retake a test sooner if needed.
There are several reasons you might want to do this - for example, if a candidate experienced technical issues or if circumstances have changed significantly. We recommend creating internal guidelines for when you allow retakes, so the process is as fair as possible for all candidates.

How to reset a test
Click on the candidate to open their profile
Go to the Assessments tab at the top of the page
Click on the test you want to reset - either Personality test
or Logic test 
Click Allow retaking test

A confirmation dialog will appear. Read through the consequences carefully, then type the candidate's full name as it appears on screen - the confirm button won't be clickable until the name matches - and click I understand the consequences, allow candidate to retake test
💡Before you confirm: Resetting a test means your organisation will lose access to the current results across all jobs the candidate has applied to.
The candidate must redo the test and share new results before you can access them, and all Role Fit scores will be recalculated based on the new results.
This is not reversible.
What happens after a reset?
When you reset a test, the candidate will not receive a new invitation automatically. They can use the original invitation you sent to access their new test.

The new and updated Role Fit score will be available in Alva as soon as the candidate completes their new test.
