How Alva Invitations Work

This article explains what an Alva invitation includes, how previous results are handled, who sends the invitation, and what to do if your invite is missing.

Getting Access to Your Alva Assessments

To complete any of Alva’s assessments, you first need an invitation from the company you applied to. This invitation includes your personal link to the tests selected for your recruitment process.

What’s Included in an Alva Invitation

Your invitation contains a unique link that gives you access only to the assessments selected by the hiring team. These may include:

  • Personality Test

  • Logic Test

  • Coding Test

Before you receive the test invitation, it’s common for the organization you applied to send an email with information about Alva and which assessments are included in the hiring process. If you are missing an assessment in your Alva invitation, reach out to the organization you applied to - they can add the missing test and send you a new invitation.

If You’ve Completed Tests for This Organisation Before

If you’ve completed Alva tests for this organization previously, you may not need to retake them. In this case, you will see a green “Completed” label in the test box. This means:

  • Your previous results are still valid

  • They have already been shared with this organization

  • No further action is needed unless the hiring team requests additional tests

To verify that your results have been shared for the correct position:

  1. Open your invitation link

  2. Click Go to application for the organization that invited you

  3. Under Your assessments are shared for the following positions you’ll see a list of job positions where your results have been shared within that organization.

How to Access Your Tests

You can access your assessments by clicking the “Go to your assessment” link in your invitation email.

If you click the link and are prompted to sign in, it may mean you previously created an Alva account when completing tests for another organization. In that case, simply sign in using the same email address where you received your invitation.

What to Do if Your Invitation Is Missing

If you’ve been told to expect an Alva invitation but haven’t received it:

  • Give the organization enough time to send the invitation. They will normally communicate expected timelines in their email to you.

  • Check your spam or junk folder.

  • Search your inbox for “Alva”, “assessment”, invitation@alvalabs.io, or the name of the hiring company.

  • Check any other email addresses you actively use, in case the invitation was delivered elsewhere.

  • Verify your email address with the hiring team - a typo can prevent delivery.

💡Note: Invitations are created and managed by the hiring company. If an invitation has already been sent but you haven’t received it, Alva Support can help verify this and, when possible, resend the existing invitation.
