What the Jobvite Integration Does
Jobvite connects to Alva through Kombo. Requisitions that carry an Alva stage are created as job positions in Alva, candidates moved to that stage are invited to their assessment automatically, and their results and Role fit are written back to the candidate in Jobvite. The hiring team on the requisition is given access to the results in Alva.
Create a job
Create a job in Jobvite (known as a requisition) with a workflow containing the new stage “Alva Assessment”
After 5 minutes, the job will be created in Alva.
Note that only the jobs with an Alva stage are created in Alva
Visit Alva to complete the rest of the set-up process by selecting a relevant Personality profile, selecting a relevant email template, and adjusting any other assessment-related settings.
Invite Candidates
Candidates are automatically sent an invitation to take an Alva assessment after they are moved to the “Alva Assessment” stage.
⚠️ Note: Send your own email to the candidate before the Alva invitation goes out. This is critical in order for the candidate to expect, accept, and complete the Alva assessment. Contact our support if you would like help with the candidate messaging.
How to Use Multiple Assessment Types with Jobvite
You can manage not only psychometric tests, but also coding tests and interviews through Jobvite. The prerequisite is to create a stage in Jobvite for each of the assessments.
We recommend creating following stages:
For psychometrics tests: “Alva Assessment”
For coding tests: “Alva coding test”
For interviews: “Alva Interview”
(Note: If you have multiple interviews, then create a separate stage for each interview)
How to Invite Your Candidates from Jobvite
Step 1: One time setup of the job settings in Alva
Go to the Job position settings in Alva
Click Add assessment and select the assessment you require
Select a stage from Jobvite and link that stage to an Alva assessment
Step 2: Send candidate invitations
To send candidate invitations, move the candidate to the relevant stage.
If you move a candidate to the relevant stage for coding tests, the candidate will receive an email invitation for the coding test.
If you move a candidate to an interview stage, you will see an “interview link” in the candidate’s results section, which leads directly to the Interview page in Alva.
Results of all these assessments will come to the results section, where you see the psychometric test results currently.
View Results
When a candidate completes their test(s), their results are posted straight to the candidate's profile:
Results appear in the Application Details section.
If you change the Personality profile used for a position, the role fit score is updated automatically.
Click the URL next to view details to open the full test results in Alva.
Hiring team sync
Jobvite's hiring sync feature gives everyone with access to the job requisition in Jobvite matching access to the candidate assessment results in Alva. It runs automatically once the job is created in Jobvite with the Alva stage.
Synced users are whoever is listed as hiring managers on the job requisition.
If a hiring team member doesn't already have an Alva account, they'll receive an email invitation to create one.
