Archiving a Job Position

If you want to clean up your workspace and remove positions you no longer actively work with, you can archive them.

  • Go to the Job Positions page in the Alva platform.

  • Locate the job position you want to archive and Check the box next to the job.

  • Click on Archive at the top right corner of the page.

  • The job will move to the Archived folder.

Note: Archiving a job does not change its status (for example, Active or Expired). It only moves the job out of your main view, helping you keep your workspace uncluttered. You can always access archived jobs from the Archived folder if you need to revisit them later.

How Job Status Works

Job statuses are handled automatically in the platform:

  • Inactive

    • When you first create a job position, its status will be set to Inactive.

  • Active

    • Once you add the first candidate to a job, its status automatically changes to Active.

    • The job will stay Active for 90 days from the moment you add the first candidate.

  • Expired

    • After 90 days of being Active, the job status will automatically change to Expired.

    • You can reactivate the job at any time by adding a new candidate, which will set its status back to Active for another 90 days.

Note: When a job status changes from Active to Expired, all features related to the job remain accessible - you can still access test results, complete interviews, review candidate information, and candidates who were invited to compete assessments while the job was Active can continue completing tests. The only restriction is that you can no longer invite new candidates to the job without reactivating it.
