Throughout the recruitment process, each candidate is assessed in multiple ways. For example using a logic and personality test, various interviews, coding tests or case exercises. The best way to combine all of this data and make an unbiased, informed decision, is using Alva's Role Fit score.
In short: Role Fit combines the score from each assessment into one, overall, fit towards the Role. The score ranges from 1-99%, with scores above 75% generally considered a strong fit.
How does Role Fit work?
Each candidate has their own Role Fit for a job position in Alva. The Role Fit score is calculated by combining the score of each assessment method with its respective importance level.
How do I interpret Role Fit?
The Role Fit score ranges from 1% to 99%, with 99% representing the best possible fit for the job.
Role Fit can be thought of as the level of confidence in how well a candidate fits the profile you are seeking.
A candidate with a 90% Role Fit has consistently performed well throughout the process. Based on the collected data, we have a high degree of confidence that they will perform well on the job.
A candidate with a 60% Role Fit at the end of a hiring process is only a bit above a 50/50 chance to perform well in the role. As such we are much less confident about the potential outcomes for this individual.
A candidate with less than 50% Role Fit indicates a high degree of uncertainty in how well they would perform.
What is a good Role Fit now?
A general rule-of-thumb is that 75% and above is considered a good Role Fit.
This level can be adjusted depending on the role you are hiring for. If you are hiring for a particularly sensitive position, it may be beneficial to aim for an even higher confidence level, ideally closer to 80-90%.
