Add new coding test tags to Lever

Learn how to add new tags to select coding tests or coding test tech stacks to Alva's Lever integration.

Written by Ludvig Wettlen

What the Coding Test Tags Do

Alva's integration to Lever uses two types of tags to add coding tests to job positions and to add tech stacks to applied coding tests.

The tags use the following structure:

  • Alva Coding Test: {title of coding test}

  • Alva Coding Stack: {title of coding stack}

To apply a coding test or tech stack to a job position in Alva, add the matching tag to the job posting in Lever.

The tag must be spelled exactly right to be recognised. We recommend adding pre-defined tags for commonly used coding tests, so users can select them from autocomplete instead of risking a typo.

How to create new tags in Lever

💡 Note: Adding new tags may require administrator privileges in Lever. If you cannot access these settings, reach out to your systems administrator for support.

In Lever, click on your profile in the top right corner, and then on Settings. From here, you can define new tags for colleagues to use.

Create tags to apply coding tests

Start tags with the text "Alva Coding Test: " followed by the exact title of the coding test. Such as:

Alva Coding Test: Lookup Service - Level 2

Create tags to apply coding stacks

Start tags with the text "Alva Coding Stack: " followed by the exact title of the coding stack. Such as:

Alva Coding Stack: Python(Backend)/Javascript(Frontend)
