Understanding Candidate Stages
In Alva, you can manage your recruitment process by updating the stages of your candidates as they progress. Changing a candidate’s stage helps you and your team stay organized, without sending any updates to the candidate.
Below you’ll find an overview of the available statuses in Alva, what they mean, and when to use them:
In process
This is the default stage for all new candidates. It indicates that the candidate is actively moving through your recruitment steps.Shortlisted
Use this stage to highlight candidates who stand out as top contenders for the role. This makes it easier for you and your team to focus on the most promising candidates. Learn more about using the shortlist feature.Hired
Select this stage when you have decided to hire a candidate. If you’d like to convert the hired candidate into an employee within Alva, you can do so directly in the platform. Learn more about converting a candidate to an employee.Rejected
Mark the candidate as rejected if you decide not to proceed with their application.Withdrawn
Use this stage if the candidate has chosen to withdraw their application or is no longer interested in the role.
