How you configure your job to have one or more interviews

Settings your job up with one or more interviews is easy. At this point, you can either decide if you want to use an existing interview template or create a new one from scratch.

⚠️ If you are creating an interview from scratch on the job, it will be unique to the job and you will not be able to re-use it for other job positions.

If you want to create an interview that can be reused, we recommend you create an interview template first. You can learn more about how here

How do I add an interview template to a job?

  1. Navigate to the Job in Alva

  2. Click on the Settings tab

  3. Click on ‘Add assessment’ button and select Interview

  4. Chose your template by click the + icon, next to the template name

  5. All done. Your interview has now been added.


How do I create a job-specific interview from scratch?

  1. Navigate to the Job in Alva

  2. Click on the Settings tab.

  3. Click on ‘Add assessment’ button and select Interview

  4. Click on ‘Create custom interview’.

  5. Start by entering a Title and Description.

  6. Add content by selecting the ‘Add from library’ button:

    1. You can either select content from the Interview Content view.

    2. Alternatively, you can create custom content that will only be available for this job and cannot be reused for other positions.

  7. Once satisfied with the layout, click ‘Save interview’.

  8. All set! Your custom interview has now been added.


How do I edit an interview?

It's simple to modify an interview already assigned to a position:

  1. Go to the Settings tab

  2. Click the three dots next to the interview name

  3. Select ‘Edit Interview’

  4. You can now make any necessary adjustments.
