When to let candidates retake their assessments

Candidates can submit one personality test and one logic test per organization, and they will automatically get the opportunity to retake their assessments for your organization after 24 months. You can, however, allow your candidate to retake the tests sooner if you would like.

There might be serval reasons to allow your candidates to retake their tests earlier. We recommend that you create internal guidelines for when you let candidates retake their tests so that the process is as fair as possible for all candidates involved.

If you need any help with this, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Alva support!

How to reset the assessments

Step 1: Click on the candidate in the candidate overview.

Step 2: Go to the Psychometric tests tab and click Allow retaking tests

Step 3: Type in the candidates name and confirm you've read the consequences above

Please note!

  • Your organization will loose access to the current logic test results for all jobs this candidate has applied to

  • The candidate will have to redo the logic test before you get access to their new logic test results

  • Once you get the access to the new logic test results any previous role fit calculations will be redone based on the new results

What happens now?

When you reset the test, the candidate will not get a new invitation, but they can however use the first invitation you sent to access their new tests. If you want to send a new invitation to the candidate, please follow the steps in this article. The new and updated role fit will be available in Alva as soon as the candidate completes their new test.
